What is coach lappas?

Coach James Lappas is a former college basketball coach who coached at the Division I level for over 20 years. He started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Villanova University in 1988 and later became the head coach at Manhattan College, leading them to two NCAA tournament appearances in 1995 and 1996. He then moved on to coach at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2001-2005, where he coached future NBA star Marcus Camby.

After leaving UMass, Coach Lappas spent several years as a college basketball analyst for CBS Sports and ESPN, providing color commentary for various games throughout the season. He eventually returned to coaching in 2012 when he became the head coach at Division II program, Queens College in New York City, where he coached until 2016.

Throughout his career, Coach Lappas has been known for his high-energy and passionate coaching style, as well as his ability to develop young talent and build successful teams. He has been widely respected throughout the college basketball community for his expertise and experience in the sport.
